According to Nasir El-Rufai, the former governor of Kaduna state, President Bola Tinubu cannot be re-elected in the 2027 election.
In a recent interview, El-Rufai clarified that anyone who held a different opinion was disconnected from reality.
The former governor made the remark as Tinubu commended El-Rufai’s successor for bringing peace back to the state and commissioned projects in Kaduna.
The immediate former governor of Kaduna state, Nasir El-Rufai, has asserted that President Bola Tinubu cannot be re-elected in the 2027 election.
Former All Progressives Congress (APC) leader El-Rufai, who is currently a chieftain of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), asserted that anyone who disagreed with him was disconnected from the realities of modern-day Nigeria.
The former governor was of the view that Nigerians have lost confidence in both the ruling APC and President Tinubu. He then suggested that they would be willing to cast their vote against Tinubu and the APC in the next general election.
El-Rufai said in an interview on Thursday, June 19, that anyone who believed Tinubu would be re-elected in 2027 was not in Nigeria, according to The Punch.
He emphasised that President Tinubu will not have a path in the upcoming election.
The former governor also stated that because Nigerians are dissatisfied with Tinubu and the APC’s policies, the weakest opposition might beat the president in the upcoming general election.
