BREAKING Nigeria Police take over PDP Secretariat in Abuja

Nigeria Police take over PDP Secretariat – Armed police officers have taken over the secretariat of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as tensions continue to rise over the National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting, which is scheduled for Monday.

A party official told reporters that the police were called in to prevent the planned NEC Expanded Caucus Meeting.

Although other party employees were ordered away after initially being permitted entry into the secretariat’s grounds without any opposition from the police.

At the time of filing this report, journalists were also asked to leave the premises of the secretariat, while some policemen were seen cordoning off Dalaba Street, which is the road leading to Wadata Plaza.
